Motorbike Gloves

Gloves are always the essential part of driving any kind of motorbikes. Whether it’s a heavy bike of 1000CC or a simple normal bike of 125 or 70CC, gloves should always be given priority. When buying gear for driving a motorbike, people always tend to buy helmets or sole shoes and other stuff but they don’t really put their attention on buying good pair of gloves. When a crash occurs, a person always tends to put his hands on the ground first which causes his hands to be damaged badly. Also in winters, hands get all hard and freeze if we do not wear special type of winter gloves. Gloves are normally hard to pick out because there are different types of gloves available in the market, quality and season wise so a person gets really confused when buying a glove that would suit him perfectly.

Main categories of Motorbike gloves

Motorbike gloves are of two categories:

  1.  Full Fingered Gloves – Most commonly purchased gloves are full fingered gloves in which the glove covers all the fingers and the palm as well. They are mostly used in winters to take care of fingers but they also can be used in any condition and at any time of the year.
  2.   Fingerless Gloves – This type of gloves do not cover the fingers but only cover the palm. They are mostly used in summers for better ventilation and to avoid moisture on hands. They do not provide high quality safety but are very comfortable and can be used in normal riding or long rides for the protection of your hands.

Types Of motorbike gloves

Motorbike gloves have different types which are explained below:

  1. Plastic Or Rain Gloves: These gloves are only used for the protection of hands during rain. When riding a bike during rain, hands get wet and the person finds it difficult to accelerate the bike or to do other functions so the gloves keep them dry as they are made up of waterproof fabric. These gloves don’t have any other attribute.
  2. Thick Winter Gloves: These gloves are used during winters when the cold wind freezes the hands of the driver. Thick winter gloves provide the warmth that is needed to drive the bike easily but they’re not as comfortable as the normal gloves because of the thick leather material used in making.
  3. Mid-Weight Gloves: These are the normal type of gloves that can be used in between winter and summer season when the weather is not very extreme. They are comfortable and specially designed gloves that also can be used throughout the year. Easily available in different sizes, colors and designs.
  4. Gauntlet: These unique gloves have the extension along the wrist area made up of leather for more protection that all the other gloves. Plus the leather makes them spectacular for cold season.
